This Works Deep Sleep Range (and they do!) + tips for a great nights sleep

So even though we start January with the best intentions, it does start to get difficult to maintain the positive factor towards the end of the month. Between the freezing weather, the short days (it can't be time to get up its still dark!), and the lack of comfort food if you've taken the healthy eating/dry January vow, things can start to get you down. So on that note, I've decided to look at some beauty products that promise to destress and relax in order to get the ultimate beauty and mood enhancer - a good nights sleep!

Deep Sleep Pillow Spray 75ml £16

Infused with essential oils of Lavender, Vetivert and Wild Chamomile to soothe the body and mind this spray is now an absolute essential in my nightly routine. A few spritzes cools the pillow and the essential oils really calm the nerves and help you drift off into a natural cocooned sleep.

Sleep Balm 10g £12
The sleep balm again is infused with the same de-stressing essential oils as the spray. I also tend to carry this around in my handbag as its a lovely relaxing scent to top up on during the day, especially at great moments of stress - i.e getting ready to go to battle in the Zara sale.

Deep Sleep Stress Less 10ml £12

This has more of a refreshing eucalyptus fragrance in a roller ball application, which promotes easy breathing before bed and promotes a deeper sleep. The roller ball also contains Lavender Oil, which is the most effective oil in helping hypertension, nervous tension and insomnia.

A few other tips for a great nights sleep:
  • Have a bedtime ritual - for me this includes a bath, candle and bedtime skincare routine. This gets you in the relaxed frame of mind and having a bath or shower before bed lowers body temperature and slows down your metabolic rate, breathing and digestion - all great for a good nights sleep!
  • Cut off the caffeine after 2pm - it takes your body longer than you think to digest caffeine, so lay off the fizzy drinks and coffee to avoid an unexpected bedtime energy boost.
  • Avoid screens before bed - I know its hard to stop scrolling and I am definitely guilty of this, but these glowing rectangles emit an artificial blue light which supresses the production of melatonin that helps you fall asleep.
  • Try and get in a routine of going to bed and waking at the same time, even on the weekends (OK thats a big ask but maybe within a couple hours either side?!) to get your body clock in sync.

After a long warm bath and following these tips, along with my This Works de-stressing must haves i'm totally set up for a great nights sleep. Good Work This Works!
